3) Drug Interactions of Ceftezole
Renal excretion inhibited by probenecid. Bacteriostatic antibacterials.
Potentially Fatal: Nephrotoxic drug eg. aminoglycoside may increase risk of kidney damage. Enhanced nephrotoxicity with a loop diuretic.
4) Mechanism of Action
Ceftezole has properties similar to cefalotin. It is active against S. aureus, S. pneumoniae, E. coli, Proteus mirabilis.
